Sometimes RV accidents happen – even when it isn’t your fault. When mishaps strike, you need a great RV collision repair team you can rely on. We were proud to be that team for RV owner Mike Pittman, a retiree from Fernandina Beach, Florida, whose story we are sharing today. Mike encountered some unfortunate luck on his very first day in his 2020 Phoenix Cruiser. Thankfully, his luck took a turn for the better when he discovered our RV repair shop in DeBary, Florida. His story showcases our dedication to our customers and the skilled craftsmanship of our RV service department.
Mike Pittman’s Jacksonville RV collision repair story
Mike Pittman was eagerly anticipating his retirement adventures. He had long been planning to spend his retired years exploring the country in a Class C RV from his home base in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Mike had shopped diligently for his new retirement vehicle, and eventually found the perfect 2020 Phoenix Cruiser.
The day he was set to pick up his Cruiser from the dealership was supposed to be a joyous occasion. However, fate had a different plan in store for him. Not long after pulling out of the dealership lot in his new RV, Mike was impacted by a semi-truck. Disappointing luck on what should have been a very exciting day!
Not only was the fiberglass exterior of the RV visibly damaged, but some interior parts saw some significant damage as well. The portion of the RV that was impacted held a sliding storage drawer inside, as seen in the photo below. This was going to be a challenging RV collision repair job.
Thankfully for Mike, it was nothing our team couldn’t handle. He found our RV collision repair experts at KA RV Repair & Sales and made the drive to have it repaired. Our repair shop in DeBary is just over 2 hours from his home north of Jacksonville in Fernandina Beach. Our RV mechanics were able to transform Mike’s stressful situation into a stress-free experience. The resilience and expertise of our repair team not only repaired his damaged RV, but also breathed new life into his retirement dreams.

Our team was able to finish the entire project in just 4 weeks – a remarkable time frame considering the damage.

Our 2020 Phoenix Cruiser was hit in the rear and right side by a semi-truck. That’s the bad news. The great news is that we chose KA RV REPAIR AND COLLISION! They did a wonderful job. KA started on our RV the day of our appointment. We were kept informed and the customer service was great. The repair was completed on a timely manner. Our RV looks perfect! I used to do fiberglass work. So, I did a thorough inspection of the job. They do excellent work. The paint and stripping looks and matches perfectly too! Our RV looks brand new. We couldn’t ask for anything more.
Thanks, KA RV REPAIR for the wonderful job.
